1. About Us

marry.lk is operated by Binary Digital Labs (Pvt) Ltd (Company Registration No. PV00293965), a company incorporated in Sri Lanka (“marry.lk”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the marry.lk matrimony platform, including our mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and marry.lk. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Eligibility

To use marry.lk, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally eligible to enter into a binding contract
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Intend to use the Service for the purpose of finding a marriage partner in good faith

4. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

Family-Managed Profiles

A parent, guardian, or family member may create or manage a profile on behalf of an adult family member, provided that:

• The profile owner (the individual seeking a partner) is aware of and has consented to the profile being created and managed
• All information submitted is accurate and truthful
• The profile represents the adult named in the profile, not the family member managing it
• The family member accepts full responsibility for compliance with these Terms on behalf of the profile owner

marry.lk is not responsible for any disputes arising from profiles created or managed without the knowledge or genuine consent of the named profile owner.

5. Acceptable Use

marry.lk is intended solely for finding a genuine marriage partner. You agree not to:

• Create a false, misleading, or fraudulent profile
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or marital status
• Use the Service for casual dating, commercial solicitation, or any purpose other than matrimony
• Harass, intimidate, or threaten other users
• Send unsolicited communications, spam, or irrelevant messages
• Share obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to access another user's account without permission
• Use the Service to solicit money, gifts, financial information, or visa assistance from other users
• Screen-record, screenshot, or redistribute another user's profile, photos, or private messages outside the Service without their express consent
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these Terms without notice or refund.

6. User Content

By submitting photos, text, or any other content to the Service, you grant marry.lk a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have all necessary rights to share such content. You must not submit photos or content that belong to or depict another person without their consent.

7. Profile Verification

We require identity verification to maintain the safety and authenticity of our community. By submitting verification documents:

• You confirm the documents are genuine and belong to you
• You consent to our team reviewing and processing your identity documents for verification purposes only
• You understand that a verified badge indicates identity has been checked, and does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any user's character or suitability
• You accept that we may revoke verified status if we discover inaccurate or fraudulent information

8. AI-Powered Features

marry.lk uses artificial intelligence to generate profile summaries and provide personalised match suggestions. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

• Certain profile information you provide may be processed by AI systems to generate written summaries visible to other users
• Match suggestions and daily recommendations are generated through automated processing of your profile and preferences
• AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not represent our endorsement or assessment of any user
• You may contact us at any time to request that an AI-generated summary about your profile be reviewed, corrected, or removed

9. Subscriptions & Payments

marry.lk offers a Premium subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing you agree to the applicable billing terms for your platform:

• iOS: Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's terms of sale apply.
• Android: Payments are processed by Google through Google Play. Google's terms of sale apply.
• Bank transfer: Payments are made directly to our designated bank account in LKR. Activation is manual and subject to payment confirmation.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Where a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires. Cancelling during a trial period will not incur any charge.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your personal information, including how we handle sensitive data such as religious affiliation and identity documents.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of marry.lk and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or otherwise use any content from the Service without our prior written permission.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless marry.lk, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) any content you submit to the Service; or (d) your violation of any rights of another user or third party.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms or our community standards
• Is harmful to other users, third parties, or marry.lk
• Creates legal liability for us

You may also terminate your account at any time using the account deletion option in the app, or by contacting our support team.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. marry.lk makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• That use of the Service will result in successful matches, relationships, marriages, or family acceptance
• The accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of user-provided profile information
• That verified profiles are free from misrepresentation — verification confirms identity only, not character or suitability

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, marry.lk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

16. Offline Meetings & Personal Safety

marry.lk facilitates introductions online but is not responsible for interactions that take place outside the platform. If you choose to meet another user in person, we strongly recommend:

• Meeting in a public place for initial meetings
• Informing a trusted friend or family member of your plans before meeting
• Not sharing sensitive personal or financial information before establishing adequate trust
• Reporting any concerning behaviour or requests to us immediately via the in-app report function

marry.lk is not liable for any harm, loss, or injury arising from offline interactions between users. Please review our Safety Tips for further guidance.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, including the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 where applicable. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
